This is especially useful for those that have extra long fingers and find the default placement of the side panel somewhat uncomfortable. You can slide the side panel forward or backward in its housing by using a hex key (provided in the box) on the screw located on the bottom. However, the Scimitar Elite Wireless’ biggest trick is that the entire side panel can be repositioned. One has to really feel the buttons before pressing them, which is a fine maneuver to do when you are in Windows, but not when you have an enemy hot on your tail and you are fumbling around to find the right action button. While I didn’t have any problems reaching out to all of the buttons on the side panel - it’s compact enough to do so without overextending your thumb - the texturing on the buttons was a little too subtle for me to easily identify which buttons I was about to press. The buttons are arranged in a typical 3x4 grid, where the second and fourth columns are textured for you to distinguish between them and the other buttons (which have a smooth finish). On the left side of the mouse you will find the 12-button side panel. It also has a textured groove on the right side for your ring finger, which while not entirely necessary, does add to the comfort. The mouse sports a black plastic chassis with a soft-touch matte finish that I can guarantee will most certainly pick up oils from your fingers over time - in fact, my review unit is already showing signs of such wear and tear.

So the Scimitar Elite Wireless is certainly not light but I did not find it unwieldy by any means, especially coming from my daily driver, the Razer Viper V2 Pro which weighs only 59g. The Naga V2 Pro, for example, weighs around 134g, however, the Steelseries Aerox 9 Wireless, which has a traditional punch-hole design, weighs only 89g. It measures around 119.23mm x 73.48mm, and weighs around 114g, which when compared to other similar gaming mice, might be considered somewhat lightweight. The mouse is a large, bulky and heavy device that feels extremely comfortable to grip (at least for those that have a palm grip style others may not fare too well), and is inherently designed for slower and calculated movements over performing 360 degree no-scope shots. Like most MMO/MOBA gaming mice, the Scimitar Elite Wireless is built for comfort rather than speed, and it shows. While I did enjoy using the Scimitar Elite Wireless for nearly two weeks that I have had this mouse, it’s spotty wireless connection (an issue you might not encounter mind you), makes me hesitate to recommend it outright.
